Inspire Gala: The Future of Aviation Local non-profit organization, Elevate Aviation, to host a fundraiser to raise money for programs for underrepresented women

EDMONTON,  October 5, 2023 – The annual Elevate Aviation fundraising gala, Inspire, is back! The event will take place on October 14, 2023 at the Aurora Jet Partners Signature Hangar located at the Edmonton International Airport. Inspire serves as a platform to honour eight women who have made their mark in the aviation sector, while raising money to support Elevate Aviation’s important programs.

Elevate Aviation, founded in 2014, emerged in response to the glaring gender imbalance within the aviation and aerospace industries. Elevate Aviation has many programs in place to assist in increasing representation in aviation. The Inspire Gala raises money for programs such as mentorship, bursaries, and the cross country tour.

“We are passionate about promoting diversity and empowering women into aviation,” says Kendra Kincade, CEO of Elevate Aviation. “Fundraising initiatives like these allow us to provide more opportunities and more support for women to excel in this industry.”

The cocktail-style fundraiser includes appetizers, networking opportunities, entertainment, auction and raffles, and interactive activities!

Under the overarching theme of “Future of Aviation”,  Elevate Aviation is proud to showcase the stories and achievements of eight exceptional women who have broken barriers in various aviation careers. From pilots, flight attendants and air traffic controllers to professionals in aircraft maintenance, engineering and the Royal Canadian Air Force, these women are shaping the future of the industry.

“We are truly excited about this year’s Inspire gala and having the opportunity to host it at a hangar back at the Edmonton International Airport” says Laura Sinclair, Chief Operating Officer at Elevate Aviation. “We’ve introduced some exciting new elements, and we believe it will be our best one yet!”
