Mia Noblet
Slackliner

Mia Noblet is a slackliner from Vancouver, BC. When she was eight years old, she saw a poster of Dean Potter highlining. Seeing somebody balancing high up in the mountains appealed to her and from a young age she enjoyed venturing into the mountains skiing, hiking, and camping. Eventually she began figure skating and then short track speed skating and spent eight years on the ice between the two sports. At the age of 20 she discovered the Vancouver slackline community and tried highlining for the first time in 2015. Right away she knew skating was finished and all of her free time would be filled with slacklining. Mia went to Europe shortly after and attended her first slackline festivals in Switzerland and Italy. Since then slacklining has been her life.

In 2016 Mia broke the female highline world record at 222m and in 2018 she and five others broke the world record with a 1.9k line tying the men’s and women’s record. Most recently in summer 2022 she and seven others broke the distance highline record once again at 2.7k. Since summer of 2016 she has broken 14 World and Guinness records through distance highline, park longline, waterline, urban highline and blindfolded highline.
